Invitation to the Just Transition Communication Guide Launch and Hands-on Workshop by YADA Foundation and Climate Alliance

YADA Foundation and Climate Alliance invite all relevant stakeholders to the Just Transition Communication Guide Launch and Hands-on Workshop, which will be held online on Thursday, 30 July. During the workshop, YADA Foundation and Climate Alliance will present key insights from YADA's research on just transition in Türkiye, share lessons learned and good practice examples from the study visit to Germany, and introduce the draft Just Transition Communication Guide they have developed. The event will also feature thematic discussion sessions on gender, labor, youth, and international experiences, where participants will have the opportunity to contribute to the communication strategy and the finalization of the Communication Guide through an interactive exchange of ideas and experiences.

How should we talk about and communicate this transformation and just transition?

We are pleased to invite all relevant stakeholders to our online event organized as part of the Communication Roadmap for Just Transition in Türkiye project.

Jointly organized by YADA Foundation and Climate Alliance, the event will feature:

• Key findings from our research on just transition in Türkiye,
• Experiences and good practices gathered during our study visit to Germany,
• The draft Just Transition Communication Strategy and Communication Guide that we are currently developing.

Participants will also have the opportunity to contribute to the communication strategy and guide through thematic breakout discussions focusing on gender, labor, youth, and international perspectives.

To accommodate different schedules, the event will be held in two identical sessions on Thursday, 30 July 2026. Participants are welcome to attend whichever session is most convenient for them.

Session 1: 2:00–3:30 PM (Germany Time / CEST, UTC+2)

Session 2: 6:30–8:00 PM (Germany Time / CEST, UTC+2)

Simultaneous interpretation in Turkish and English will be provided throughout the event.

About the Project

This event is organized within the framework of the Communication Roadmap for Just Transition in Türkiye project, implemented by YADA Foundation with the support of GIZ, aiming to strengthen communication on the climate crisis, transformation, and just transition processes in Türkiye. The German-Turkish Climate Partnership: Strengthening Civil Society for Climate Action Project, implemented under GIZ’s Climate Diplomacy Action Programme, commissioned by the German Federal Ministry for the Environment, Climate Action, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety (BMUKN) and funded by the International Climate Initiative (IKI), seeks to support climate change mitigation, adaptation efforts, and policy influence by mobilizing change agents for climate action and strengthening civil society networks at both the national and bilateral levels in Germany and Türkiye.
