Arguvan folk songs are a part of Intangible Cultural Heritage National List of UNESCO. Now, director Devrim Çiftçi, who is from Arguvan, has started a documentary project focusing on the history of Arguvan folk songs.

“We cannot ignore the role of music when trying to understand social history and memory over cultural assets. By this documentary, we want to tell the story of Arguvan’s socio-economic and socio-cultural background with its folk songs”, says director Devrim Çiftçi.
