Maya Foundation is Building Bridges for Education in European Parliament

Building Bridges for Education: Syria and Countries in the Region” panel was organized by Maya Foundation and European Parliament’s Turkey Forum and was held in the European Parliament. In the panel, CSO, private and public sectors’ cooperation about refugee children’s education was discussed.
Maya Foundation’s “Trauma-Informed School” project, which has been implemented in cooperation with the Turkish Ministry of Education for two years, was praised.
The panel was organized within the frame of EU’s conference called “Supporting the Future of Syria and the Region.” Key speakers of the panel were Faruk Kaymakçı (Permanent Delegate of Turkey to the EU), Esra Özsüre (Maya Foundation’s Founding Director), Sarah Brown (President of Theirworld and Executive Chair of the Global Business Coalition for Education), Javi Lopez (Delegate to the EU-Turkey Joint Parliamentary Committee). Maram Foundation’s Director Yakzan Shishakly, Worldwide Tribe Founder Jaz O’Hara, Relief International Jordan Regional Director Claudio Colatoni and academician Dr. Christina Bache also shared their experiences about good practices in the conference.
Professionals who work in the fields of humanitarian relief and education and EU deputies participated in the panel discussion leaded by Laura Battala, Secretary General of the European Parliament’s Turkey Forum.
