87 Women and LGBTI SCOs pointed out the destruction state of emergency causes to women and LGBTI+ communities and they released a notice saying “We are not getting used to state of emergency”.

Confederation of Progressive Trade Unions of Turkey (DESK)-Women’s Commission, Confederation of Public Employees Trade Union (KESK)-Women’s Council, Union of Chambers of Turkish Engineers and Architects (TMMOB)-Women’s Working Group, Turkish Medical Association (TTB)-Women’s Health Working Group are among the signatory organizations and they aimed to draw attention to the destruction state of emergency has caused to women and LGBTI+ people. The organizations which signed the petition demanded the abolishment of state of emergency, decree laws and nondemocratic laws.

A part from the statement:

“We call for and end to the state of emergency! We call for an end to nondemocratic legislations that deepens conflicts, enwidens poverty, unequality, injustice, justifies violence and hatred. We will not get used to the normalization of state of emergency!”
