Villagers Demonstrated against the Stone Quarry in Ödemiş

Villagers demonstrated against the planned stone and marble quarry in İzmir, Ödemiş.

They walked with banners saying “We will not let our water, soil and nature be destroyed.” If constructed, quarry will cause 40 thousand trees to extinct.

Emine Tüser, one of the villagers, said “Our lives depend on what we grow here. Don’t quarrel with our bread and butter.”
