OPET, a company operating in fuel sector, has started a new social responsibility project called “Women Power”. The project aims to increase women’s employment.

The project will be implemented by OPET with the cooperation of the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources and the Ministry of Labour and Social Security.

Member of OPET’s Executive Board, Filiz Öztürk drew attention to the importance of women’s employment in Turkey. “By this project, we aim to increase women’s employment and support them to reinforce socially and economically. Sales representation and station management have always been regarded as men’s jobs but we see how women become successful in those positions. Now, with the support of our ministers, we start a new project called “Women Power” and we want to increase women’s participation in our stations,” said Öztürk.
