Red Alert for Turkey: Pollution Might Lead to Mass Extinction

Turkish Foresters Association prepared a report on the pollution in Turkey.

It is stated in the report that 75 of 81 cities in Turkey face deadly air pollution, water basins and seas are highly polluted and cases of cancer and epidemic illnesses have increased due to deforestation.

Damages due to pollution:

Oxygen resources of 27.5 million families are cut off.

Because of deforestation, Turkey will face water shortage in 2023.

80 million people in Turkey are in danger.

According to WHO’s standards, half of the population in Turkey are exposed to air pollution. People living in the big cities inhale deadly polluted air for 250 days a year.
