Court of Appeal Rejected Giving “Compensation for Homosexual Referee”

Halil İbrahim Dinçdağ was restrained from being referee by the reason of being homosexual.

He sued Turkish Football Federation and was granted to receive a compensation of 23 thousand Turkish Liras. However, Court of Appeal reversed the decision and said there were no grounds for immaterial compensation.

Attorney: I Do Not Understand the Verdict

Fırat Söyle, attorney of Dinçdağ, said it was discrimination and requested a revision of decision. “I tried to understand the reasons for reversing the decision, but I have to admit that I do not understand it at all,” said Söyle.
