“HIV Stories from Turkey” Is Published in Three Languages

Hêvî LGBTI Association conducts activities focusing on Kurdish, refugee, migrant and prisoner LGBTIs. Their collection of stories called “HIV Stories from Turkey” consists of 13 real stories and is published in Turkish, Kurdish and English.

The book aims to break down prejudices. Here is a piece from its introduction:

“Living with HIV is not a sickness. HIV is an infection that affects immune system and HIV and AIDS are totally different from each other. However, a systematic discrimination against people with HIV still continues today. HIV Stories from Turkey aims to bring different experiences together and break down prejudices.”
