“Orange Flag” Precaution against Food Waste in Tourism

Initiative for Preventing Food Waste and Awareness Raising works to prevent food waste in tourism.

 “All Inclusive Excluding Waste” slogan expands with the support and participation of outstanding tourism establishments. Orange Flag (TUBA) is a practice that have been developed by experts who conducted field analysis and developed a solution-oriented approach. In tourism establishments which become a part of TUBA, purchasing, consuming, storage, separation and recycling processes of food are analyzed and put in order. Staff gets trainings and earns certificates. There are also some activities regarding awareness raising. The program has special activities for children. Activities and events can differ according to the different needs and demands of establishments.
